NEW SINGLE RELEASE “GLOW” – A ROCK ANTHEM FINDING A POSITIVE IN THE PANDEMIC
Brisbane rock outfit The Black Creek Band is stoked to announce the release of their latest single, “Glow”, a powerful rock anthem which finds a positive in the current Covid-19 pandemic.
“There’s plenty of challenges out there, particularly in our industry” explains vocalist Richard Smith, “however we were keen to use some down time to write about what positives we all might be able take out of this situation.”
With driving four-on-the-floor rhythms, huge guitar riff and larger than life vocals, “Glow” is a massive song of its times.
Guitarist Ric Lynam says “in early March we were seeing shocking scenes from around the world, but there were also amazing sights of whole communities coming together on their balconies in solidarity and compassion – Glow is a tribute to those people and the front line workers they were supporting.”
The single and original music video has been released on YouTube, with formal launch on all streaming services on Friday 5 June 2020.
Down at the market got nothing for sale Like being in a tavern without no ale Are we a choir with nothing to sing? Like having a summer before its spring Like having a party without any friends Like making love do we have to pretend? Are we a puppet and they’re pulling our strings? Are we a bird with a broken wing? It starts as a whisper and it will grow Shout it loud cause you want the world to know Can’t believe we’ve got no place to go From the balconies, let those spirits show On the front line, they are not alone Out in the streets, can you feel those spirits glow? Feel those spirits glow We are a plane ride that’s got no crew They’re making riddles and we got no clues Just like a baker have we got no dough? Are we a ship we got no port to go It starts as a whisper and it will grow Shout it loud cause you want the world to know Can’t believe we’ve got no place to go From the balconies, let those spirits show On the front line, they are not alone Out in the streets, can you feel those spirits glow? Feel those spirits glow
